IVDD Assist
(an initiative of Dachshund IVDD Support Australia)

We are delighted to announce the recipient of ‘One Stroller a Month for April is Phillip who is loved by Sarah who live sin Melbourne, Victoria.

Phillip has hurt the top of his vertebrae and was screaming in pain as a result of this injury. He was also having neck spasms and shaking due to his pain. He is currently being conservatively treated with crate rest and medication.

Phillip has three loves: the sun, the park and following his Mum around. Phillip is a sun baby so being able to relax in the sun in his new pram has been great.

Phillip is loving sniffing in his favourite park being wheeled around his favourite spots by his Mum.

Phillip loves to eat and follow his Mum around which he can continue to do in his new hot wheels.

Sarah says that the crate rest and being able to use the pram is seeing Phillip improving. He no longer screams in pain, apart from the occasional help when he moves the wrong way. He no longer hunches his back like he was and his shaking has minimised. Of course Phillip thinks he is now ship shape so Sarah has her hands full in trying to alleviate his boredom.

Sarah is finding the pram is a wonderful asset in Phillip’ s ongoing recovery.

On behalf of DISA (IVDD Assist Initiative), sponsors and supporters we trust this gift helps make what it often a difficult time a little easier.

Much love from us all at DISA, and as always “We’ve got your back”.

NB: Recipients of this initiative are chosen monthly from members of DISA’s closed Facebook Support Group which is available to owners of IVDD hounds in Australia.
