IVDD Assist
(an initiative of Dachshund IVDD Support Australia)

We are delighted to announce the recipient of “One Stroller a Month” for March 2019 is Saber who is loved by Amy and family located in Melbourne Victoria.
Saber was diagnosed and had surgery for Stage 3 IVDD at Moonee Valley Animal Hospital & Advanced Care Pet Hospital in late Feb 2019.
Prior to this Saber had experienced difficulties going through a pet door and after an initial vet check and pain medication had later lost the use of both back legs.
Saber had been finding crate test tough and Amy also has had back issues so this made the family great candidates for this initiative.
Upon being placed in her new Pet Stroller Amy reports that Saber instantly was at ease in it. Saber feels like she is now on the family’s level, starting to kiss and snuggle family members. This is the first time Saber has shown affection since her surgery. 5 minutes later Saber was sleeping in her Stroller.
On behalf of DISA (IVDD Assist Initiative), sponsors and supporters we trust this gift helps make what it often a difficult time a little easier.

Much love from us all at DISA, and as always “We’ve got your back”.

NB: Recipients of this initiative are chosen monthly from members of DISA’s closed Facebook Support Group which is available to owners of IVDD hounds in Australia.
