Back Brace Loan Program (for IVDD hound dental procedures only)

Hire fee $45.00 – $25.00 plus $20.00 admin and restocking fee.  $25.00 will be refunded upon return of  brace in good condition.

Dentals are often avoided for fear of further injury following an IVDD episode.
A back brace is one method that owners & their vets have adopted when performing a dental under anaesthesia, avoiding any unnecessary twisting, bending and movement.  Braces also help calm hounds while at the Vet, similar to a Thunder Jacket.

Braces are expensive so DISA is now loaning them to owners of IVDD Dachshunds, giving you a little leg up.

When placing an order, in the ORDER NOTES section, please provide the following:
Name of Dog
Date of Dental & name of Veterinary Surgeon

T & C’s

  • The hire fee is $25.00 plus $20.00 admin and restocking fee.  $25.00 will be refunded upon the return of the brace in good condition.
  • Allow at least a 2-week window to ensure the brace arrives on time.
  • If urgent select Express Post when ordering!
  • DISA will include an Australia Post bag with the order for the return of the brace.
  • The owner agrees to pay for freight both ways.
  • The Brace remains the property of Dachshund IVDD Support Australia and must be returned in the same condition as it arrived.
  • If the Brace is damaged or is not returned, the owner waives the return of the $20.00 hire fee and will be issued an invoice for the replacement cost of a brace (Est. $200).
  • The brace is ONLY available for dental procedures ONLY and is not available for a long-term loan due to health requirements.
